Menchville lost their Homecoming game to the Woodside Wolverines 44-7 on a Saturday afternoon game in Newport News. Receiver Tim Davidson provided the only offensive highlight when he hauled in an 85-yard pass from quarterback Rakeem Kersey just before the first half ended. Davidson then went out at halftime and was voted Homecoming King by the student body.
The Menchville defense recovered three fumbles in the third quarter but they were not able to take advantage of the turnovers. The Monarchs play their final home game on Friday against the Hampton Crabbers.
